Get ready for a scary-good time this spooky season as the first Fright Night of the year kicks off this weekend in Brampton.

Local ghouls and goblins are invited to the Cassie Campbell Community Centre this Friday and Saturday nights for the return of the city’s annual spooktacular event.

The Halloween-themed nights feature demonstrations by a “mad scientist,” arts and craft stations, games, a haunted house, treats, airbrush tattoos and much more.

No registration or sign-up isn’t required for the free drop-in events, but guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the local Knights Table charity.

If you can’t make the Fright Nights this weekend then you can still catch some spooky action on Oct. 25 and 26 when the event moves to the Gore Meadows Community Centre.

And following the screening of Disney’s Halloween classic Hocus Pocus on Thursday, the city is holding another scary movie screening night on Oct. 27 at the Century Gardens Recreation Centre showing The Haunted Mansion.

The first Brampton Fright Nights of 2024 run this Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Cassie Campbell Community Centre.
