First Chopped Leaf Location in Ontario to Open in Mississauga

Chopped Leaf is a Canadian franchise founded in 2009 in Western Canada with 23 locations operating in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

The quick-service concept focuses on nutritious ingredients and healthy chef designed soups, salads, wraps and sandwiches.

You’ll find numerous options including the choice to create your own. You can choose a salad or wrap version selected recipes such as chopped signature (romaine, sun-dried cranberries, roasted pecans, red onions, feta and croutons in a balsamic dressing) or Bangkok (romaine, peppers, snow peas, red onions, noodles, peanuts, cilantro with evil peanut sauce).

The whole bowls are wholesome vegetarian dishes such as No.2 which includes spinach, roasted pecans, sundried cranberries, carrots, cucumbers, chick peas and tahini sauce. Sandwiches include spinach chicken (chicken, chipotle aioli, mushrooms, onions, cheddar and romaine); cranberry pesto (chicken, cranberry sauce, pesto, peppers, cheddar, mozzarella and romaine) and chopped tuna melt (tuna with creamy dill, cheddar, cucumbers, carrots and romaine).

Featured soups include: spicy creamy tomato, chopped onion and parmesan, spicy sweet potato, African spiced lentil, Thai curry, wild mushroom chowder, creamy Thai lemongrass, and vegetable chili.

The stuffed cups are vegetarian dishes served in a cup and it’s a perfect on-the-go meal which include a number of nutritious ingredients such as idol (brown basmati rice, black bean corn salsa, cucumbers, carrots, chickpeas and goddess dressing); nutty (brown basmati rice, green onions, peppers, chow mein, pea pods, carrots, peanuts, cilantro and evil peanut dressing).

You will also find appetizers (such as salad rolls in rice paper and quesadillas), breakfast wraps, cookies (peanut butter, spelt pecan crunch, spelt carob chip), bars and granola cups (agave coconut bar, nutty cocoa bar).

Mississauga will be the very first location for the brand in Ontario. It’s scheduled to open sometime this spring in the northeast part of Mississauga along Eglinton Ave. E between Centennial Park Blvd. and Dixie Rd.
