Fire crews battle a blaze at a Brampton home

Fire crews are battling a fire at a home in Brampton this morning.
The fire broke out at a home on Mainard Crescent and Egypt Drive around 6:40 a.m. today (Sept. 29), according to Peel Regional Police.
There were no injuries reported, police added.
Fire crews were working on a defensive attack of the blaze, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services said on X (formerly Twitter).
Emergency crews asked people to avoid the area around Sandalwood Parkway and Dixie Road. Mainard Crescent was closed.
