Firefighters are battling a blaze at a business in Brampton.
Brampton Fire and Emergency Services (BFES) say firefighters were called to a food establishment in the area of Kennedy Rd. North and Church St. East for reports of a fire on Friday morning (Dec. 16).
Pictures from the scene show at least three fire engines on scene and Peel Regional Police blocking traffic in the area.
Kennedy Rd. has been shut down in the northbound and southbound lanes between Vodden St. and Queen St. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
BFES said the fire was under control by around 12:45 p.m., and fire investigators have been called in to determine the cause of the blaze. Police say there have been no injuries reported and the extent of damage is unknown.
