Fire breaks out at a furniture store near Pearson Airport in Mississauga

A fire broke out at a furniture store near Pearson Airport in Mississauga overnight.
Crews responded to the fire at La Vie Furniture, located in a plaza on Trinity Drive, according to a post on X.
The fire call came in at 11:45 p.m. last night (Feb. 26), a spokesperson for Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services said.
The first crews arriving used an offensive strategy, and the incident was upgraded to a second-alarm fire.
There was a report of heavy smoke in the warehouse area with sprinklers activated.
The damage is thought to be extensive.
Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services crews remained on scene overnight for a fire watch.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This was the second fire overnight. A home was also badly damaged in a blaze, also near Pearson Airport.
