Fire breaks out at a commercial building overnight in Mississauga

A fire broke out at a commercial building west of Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Crews were called to the building at 5650 Timberlea Blvd. just after 1 a.m. today (March 1), a spokesperson for Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services told insauga.com.
When crews arrived smoke was billowing out of the building and the blaze was upgraded to a second-alarm fire, according to a post from Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services on X.
Sprinklers were activated in the building and crews started with an offensive attack.
There were no injuries reported, the spokesperson said.
Crews remained on scene for a fire watch overnight.
As of 7 a.m. this morning, there was no word on the cause of the blaze. A fire investigator was on the scene this morning.
This is the second fire in the area this week. A fire broke out at a furniture store near Pearson Airport in Mississauga on Wednesday.
