Fentanyl and meth bust in Toronto leads to charges for pair from Ajax, Pickering

The discovery of several kilograms of fentanyl and methamphetamine in Toronto has led to charges for four people, including a pair from Ajax and Pickering.
The raids were part of Toronto Police’s Project Dolphin which investigated meth trafficking in the city throughout August. On Oct. 1 the investigation led to the arrest of three suspects near Victoria Park Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East in East York.
After the trio’s arrest, police raided a home and a car in Durham Region though they did not specify where. They arrested a fourth person during these raids. They also found:
- 13 kilos of crystal methamphetamine
- 14 kilos of fentanyl
- drug packaging
- fentanyl cutting and colouring kit
- Canadian and American currency
The four suspects charged include:
- Johnathan Livingston, 60, of Toronto
- two counts of drug trafficking
- three counts of possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000
- drug possession for trafficking
- Wali Piracha, 30, of Ajax, was arrested and charged with:
- six counts of drug trafficking
- six counts of possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000
- three counts of drug possession for trafficking
- Yasmeen Piracha, 55, of Pickering
- two counts of possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000
- Daisy Reyes, 36, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
- five counts of drug trafficking
- five counts of possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000
Three suspects appeared in court on Oct. 2. However, Yasmeen Piracha will not appear until November 25.
