Female dead after police called to home in Oshawa

A person has died in hospital and police have a man in custody after a suspected murder at an Oshawa home.

Durham Regional Police were called to a home on Eulalie Avenue, in the area of King Street East and Ritson Road South, on Sunday.

A female victim was located and taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with “visible injuries” but later died.

Police have not provided further details about the victim’s identity, including whether she was an adult, teenager or younger, with no mention of age. It is also unclear what relationship the suspect had to the victim.

Authorities have not released any suspect information at this time.
