Jakob Beisel is in custody after allegedly breaking his release conditions.

The man wanted on a Canada-wide for breaching his statutory release conditions is now in police custody.

Jakob Beisel, 22, is serving a three-year sentence for armed robbery while using a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and failing to comply with his sentence.

Since Beisel allegedly broke his release conditions the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad issued a warning for residents of several cities on May 25.

Beisel is known to have frequented Brampton as well as Barrie, North Bay, Orillia and Sudbury.

Weeks later on July 5, the OPP GTA Traffic Division announced Beisel’s arrest, saying “OPP would like to thank the everyone who shared the appeal.”
