Federal benefits cheque payment dates for 2024

It’s been a tough year financially for Canadians across the country thanks to record inflation, ever-increasing grocery bills and the ever-rising cost of living. As a result, many Canadians are looking for a bit of extra cash to help them get through the year.
Recently, the Federal Government revealed the 2024 dates for tax refunds and benefit cheque payments.
The Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and Child Tax Credit cheques are sent out monthly.
The dates for CPP and OAG are;
- January 29
- February 27
- March 26
- April 26
- May 29
- June 26
- July 29
- August 28
- September 25
- October 29
- November 27
- December 20
The child tax credit tax-free monthly benefit is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and is available to eligible families to help with the cost of raising children under 18 years of age. The CCB may include the child disability benefit and related provincial and territorial programs.
The dates for the Child Tax Credit are;
- January 19
- February 20
- March 20
- April 19
- May 17
- June 20
- July 19
- August 20
- September 20
- October 18
- November 20
- December 13
The Ontario Trillium Benefit includes Ontario energy and property tax credit, the Northern Ontario energy credit and the Ontario sales tax credit. It also comes out monthly;

- June 10
- July 10
- August 9
- September 10

- December 10
Other benefits, such as the GST/HST credit and the climate action incentive payment credit come out quaterly, but on different days. The climate action incentive is essentially the taxpayers’ carbon tax refund.
The Climate incentive payment comes out;

The GST/HST refund comes out;
- January 5, 2024
- April 5, 2024
- July 5, 2024
- October 4, 2024
These cheques can all be cashed at any bank in Canada.
