Feb. 7 Weather: Warm and sunny today in southern Ontario

Another unseasonably warm and sunny day is expected across southern Ontario with temperatures set to reach a balmy 5 degrees.

According to Environment Canada’s Pearson Airport sensors, the sun is set to emerge around 7:30 a.m. breaking through the cold -4 degree morning.

With that sun temperatures will quickly rise, reaching 1 degree by noon and the day’s high of 5 degrees by 4 p.m.

Though there will be some minor cloud, the sun will outshine it until sunset shortly before 6 p.m.

Winds will be a bit low throughout the day peaking at about 15 km/h. However, the early morning will feature a small windchill feeling like closer to -6 degrees.

Skies will remain clear throughout the evening and temperatures will fall to about -2 degrees by 8 p.m. Cloud coverage will move in around midnight.
