Feb. 21 weather: It’s going to hit 9 C today in southern Ontario

A mix of sun and clouds and highs of 9 C will greet southern Ontario residents Wednesday as slightly warmer temperatures move into the region.

Mississauga and Brampton will see mainly sunny skies with increasing cloudiness early in the afternoon. Winds will be coming from the south at 20 km/h near noon with wind chills at minus five in the morning.

Parts west – from Milton to Hamilton – will see mainly cloudy skies, with residents in Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton seeing brisk winds up to 40 km/hr near noon before becoming light in the afternoon.

Residents of Durham Region will get to see the sun, with winds just 15 km/hr and a high of plus six during the day and a low of minus six in the morning.

The night skies from Clarington all the way to Hamilton will be cloudy, with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a low of plus three.
