Mississauga residents who love to shop at Farm Boy will no longer have to drive to Oakville or Etobicoke for the brand’s signature fresh produce.

Farm Boy, the growing grocery store chain that began as a 300-square-foot produce store in Cornwall, Ont., recently announced plans to open a new location in Mississauga on its website.

The new location, slated to open in the summer of 2024, will take shape at 70 Mississauga Road in the city’s bustling Port Credit neighbourhood.

The brand will also be opening a new location in Burlington later this year.

“We get questions every single day about when we will be opening up a Farm Boy in your city,” the website reads.

“Right now, we have 47 stores and are steadily growing – with more stores in development.”

According to the company’s website, the chain is popping up in both urban and suburban locations across Ontario.

Farm Boy is known for offering farm-fresh produce, butcher-quality meats, artisan cheese and a range of grab-and-go products. The stores also offer full-service hot food, salad and soup bars.
