Extra garbage pick up for flood victims in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills

Halton Region is enhancing waste collection for households affected by flooding but there are strings attached.

To be eligible you must first report your flood damage by calling 311.

The enhanced collection will take place between Monday, July 22, and Friday, August 2, in addition to regular waste service.

Specifically, the extra collection is for items damaged in the flood.

For those who qualify, garbage limits are temporarily waived and no bag tags are required. This waste will be picked up on regular collection days.

For bulk items, limits are temporarily waived but size limits and acceptable items (e.g., furniture, carpet/flooring etc.) still apply. These items will also be collected on regular collection days.
