The Brampton Library’s South West Branch is ready for the back-to-school season with extended hours and homework help programs.

The library announced that the branch located at Financial Drive and Mississauga Road is now open longer, just in time for the rush of students headed back to classes this week.

The South West Branch used to have significantly reduced hours compared to other branches, closing for several hours on multiple days of the week.

While the South West Branch is closed now Mondays, the branch is now more in line with other locations and is open for visitors from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The branch has many programs for residents to take in, like newcomer services, homework help, research and study resources, online classes, and educational film and TV streaming.

There’s also the After Hours Study Hall which is open at the Springdale and Four Corners branches on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

“For all ages and stages, let us help you to have your best school year yet,” the Library said in a release. “Whether you’re looking for books from your class reading list, test preparation tools, textbooks, or popular favourites to unwind with, Brampton Library is here to help you succeed.”

You can visit www.bramptonlibrary.ca for more information on the extended hours at the South West Branch or any of the available programs.
