Explosion forces evacuation of Mississauga building

A building has been evacuated after an explosion in the city’s south end.

Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services report a gas leak in an industrial/commercial area on Royal Windsor Dr. caused by a steam explosion has forced the evacuation of the building.

No injuries have been reported.

The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. in the area near Winston Churchill Blvd.

Emergency crews are currently on the scene and workers have been told to leave the area.

Traffic is currently being diverted away from the scene.
