Easter arrives, meaning many places and services in Mississauga will be closed on Good Friday, March 29, and Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Here’s what’s open and closed this Friday and Sunday in Mississauga:

Closed:
- Square One Shopping Centre (closed Friday and Sunday)
- Walmart Supercentre at Square One
- Erin Mills Town Centre
- Dixie Outlet Mall
- Heartland Town Centre and other power centres are closed, but individual restaurants might still be open
- Some major grocery stores will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday
- Whole Foods Square One will be closed on Easter Sunday, but open on Good Friday (see below)
- Government offices
- City Hall and Region of Peel offices
- Banks
- Libraries
- LCBO
- The Beer Store
- Non-Emergency Region of Peel services will not be available
- Region of Peel Community Recycling Centres
- Canada Post (no mail pickup or delivery)
- Garbage and recycling will not be collected on Good Friday

- Whole Foods Square One is open on Good Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Shopping Malls that are open on Easter Sunday:
- Toronto Premium Outlets will be open from 10 am to 7 pm on Good Friday and 11 am to 7 pm on Easter Sunday
- Eaton Centre will be open from 11 am to 7 pm on Good Friday and 11 am to 5 pm on Easter Sunday
- Pacific Mall will be open from 11 am to 8 pm on Good Friday and Easter Sunday
Transit
- MiWay will operate on a holiday service schedule on Good Friday (Note: routes 28 Confederation, 46 Tenth Line-Osprey and 48 Erin Mills will not run at all on Good Friday)
- GO Transit will run on a Sunday schedule on Good Friday
- Region of Peel TransHelp: all trips for Good Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30 must be booked by 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 either online or by calling 905-791-1015
