Police respond to person in crisis in Brampton

A man from Mississauga is up on several charges including gun and drug possession.

On January 5, around 8 p.m., Peel Regional Police officers were at Bloor St and Fieldgate Dr. in the city’s east end near the Etobicoke border. There they found a man in a car and began to investigate him. Police did not say why the officers undertook the investigation.

Ultimately they arrested Damian Graves, 25 of Mississauga, after they found drugs and a gun in the car, police claim. Among the drugs allegedly recovered were unspecified amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine and opioids.

As a result, Graves has been charged with three counts of possession with intent, possession of a gun without a license and failure to comply with release orders.

Graves remained in custody until a bail hearing on January 6. Anyone with information can call Peel police at (905)453-2121 ext. 1233.
