It could get a bit nippy in Caledon to round out the work week as dropping temperatures have led to a frost advisory for the town and surrounding areas.

Environment Canada put out the notice on Thursday (Oct. 12) saying that the mercury is expected to drop to near the freezing mark overnight and into Friday morning.

“Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees,” Environment Canada said in the advisory.

The forecast calls for a high of 11 C on Friday, which is a few degrees lower than the average high for Oct. 13 of 14.6 C. The weekend could also bring some moisture with rain expected to start on Friday evening followed by scattered showers through to Monday morning.
