UPDATE: Driver suffers serious injuries in crash on Highway 410 in Brampton, lane closed

A single-vehicle crash left the driver with serious injuries in Brampton.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 410 at Sandalwood Parkway, OPP said in a post on X today (May 2) at 4:48 a.m.

A 29-year-old driver from Orangeville was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.

As of early this morning, only one lane was open.

Police asked drivers to take an alternate route if possible.

Update: The lane reopened just after 8 a.m., OPP said.
