Driver dies after fiery crash into a pole in Mississauga

One person has died after a fiery crash into a pole in Mississauga.
Emergency crews responded to the crash on McLaughlin Road, just south of Britannia Road, on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police said.
When crews arrived, the vehicle was on fire, police said. Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services quickly extinguished the fire.
The female driver suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police said the vehicle collided with a second vehicle, which sustained minimal damage. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated. Police said they are working to determine the facts of the incident.
