Driver airlifted from crash dead following collision north of Brampton

One person is dead and police are asking the witnesses for information following a crash that saw a driver airlifted to hospital north of Brampton.

The crash happened on Oct. 12 just after 2:30 a.m. when the OPP says officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 10 near Old School Road in Caledon.

Police say the 48-year-old driver from Erin was seriously injured in the crash and was airlifted to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. The victim has not been identified by police.

Highway 10 Between King Street and Old School Road was closed for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists examined the scene, and police are asking anyone who has information about the collision to contact investigators.
