Driver, 17, clocked going 170 in 100-km/h zone in Mississauga: OPP

The OPP Highway Safety Division is warning drivers to slow down after a 17-year-old motorist was clocked recently doing 170 in a 100-km/hr zone in Mississauga.
According to an OPP Tweet, officers in Mississauga stopped the young driver near Hwy 403 and Winston Churchill.
Police said that the 17-year-old is under investigation for stunt driving and has also been cited for cannabis violations. Officers also seized a replica handgun from the youth’s fanny pack.
The car in question has been impounded for two weeks and the driver, who is also facing a future court date, has had his licence suspended for a week.
