Drake’s mansion property taped off by police after a shooting in the area

Police taped off musician Drake’s Bridle Path mansion property this morning, according to news reports.
The mansion, located in Toronto’s upscale Bridle Path neighbourhood, was taped off Tuesday (May 7), multiple news outlets are reporting.
Video from the scene shows police vehicles and tape blocking the road outside the home.
A man suffered serious injuries after a shooting near the rapper’s home.
The shooting was reported near the corner of Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East at 2:09 a.m., Toronto Police said in a post on X.
The man was transported to hospital and a suspect fled in a vehicle, police said.
There was no description of the suspect or the vehicle.
Police have not said if the shooting is connected to Drake.
Update: News reports indicate Drake’s home is at the centre of the investigation and the musician has offered to cooperate with police.
Update 2: Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force told reporters the victim of the shooting was a security guard at the residence. Krawczyk also told reporters police are aware of the feud between Drake and rapper Kendrick Lamar but would not say whether it was linked to this shooting.
