Downed hydro poles close section of road in Mississauga

UPDATE: Peel Regional Police said Thursday afternoon Tedlo Street, between Orwell Street and The Queensway East, will remain closed to traffic until Monday.

 

Traffic has been disrupted in an industrial area in Mississauga’s east end after hydro poles were downed on Thursday morning.

Peel Regional Police said no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident, which occurred just after 8 a.m. in the area of The Queensway East and Tedlo Street, west of Cawthra Road.

In a post to social media, police said hydro poles were down and that all northbound and southbound lanes on Tedlo Street, between Orwell Street and The Queensway East, were closed to traffic until further notice.

Police advise motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
