Double shooting prompts heavy police presence in Mississauga

Two people have been injured following a shooting at the intersection of Wanita Rd. and Oakwood Ave. in Mississauga,  this evening (June 21).

According to Peel Regional Police, the extent of their injuries are currently unknown.

The suspect or suspects involved in the incident remain unidentified, leading to a heavy police presence in the area.

Police are asking residents and commuters to avoid the vicinity of the shooting, until further notice.

The ongoing investigation may result in traffic disruptions and road closures in the surrounding area.
