Dog in stolen SUV could be in Mississauga or Brampton, police say

The search is on for a stolen dog named Roxy and an SUV that could be in Mississauga or Brampton, police say.

The white Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the Bloor Street West and Highway 427 area shortly before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, the Toronto Police Service says.

Inside the SUV was a four-year-old chocolate lab named Roxy, and both were stolen, police say.

Peel Regional Police say the stolen vehicle may have been driven to either Mississauga or Brampton, a spokesperson told INsauag.com.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or the dog is asked to contact police.

The vehicle is described as a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with licence plate CVRB054. Police say the suspect is a white male in his late 30s with a short, light coloured beard.
