“SoundBites is all about incredible music and great food. Having DJ Jazzy Jeff perform brings a ‘Fresh’ vibe to the event.” said Nidhi Khanna, Manager, Mississauga Celebration Square. “Building on the success of De La Soul and July Talk, SoundBites is an event that draws international recording artists to our city and makes a statement about the great cultural scene that’s emerging in Mississauga.”
Do you remember the days of watching DJ Jazzy Jeff on the American after-school sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?” It featured DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince when both Jeffrey A. Townes and Will Smith were just breaking into the entertainment business.
Their hit songs include “Parents Just Don’t Understand” and 1991’s summertime anthem aptly called “Summertime.” They earned numerous accolades both as a partnership and independently. “Summertime” is still the perfect track to drive to on a hot summer day with the sunroof open and the windows down.
Join insauga.com’s Khaled Iwamura and Jackie Perez as they host the pre-show featuring local Mississauga talent and guests.
