Brampton is full of creators, and since a major library within the Brampton Library system re-opened, there’s been a brand new space where Bramptonians can create.

Whether you’re looking to record a podcast, a song, or something completely other that’s audio-based, this super cool  recording studio within the Chinguacousy Library branch is for you. Granted, it’s not exactly new – the recording studio has indeed been open since the beginning of August, when Chinguacousy Library re-opened after their major renovation.

We already knew that there are an abundance of innovative spaces in Brampton, but this is a great addition to a library. Typically, libraries are considered quiet, quaint spaces. With Chinguacousy Library’s innovative new features, the Brampton Library system is clearly re-thinking the way we do things here in Brampton, which is fantastic.

As for the recording studio, it’s soundproof, must be booked in advance, and you’ll have to attend an orientation session before you can use it (check Brampton Library’s event calendar for orientation dates!).

It seems like the library isn’t just a place to check out books anymore.

In fact, Chinguacousy Library branch is now equipped with a cozy and modern interior, an entire computer lab for both classes and the public, and even a Maker Space complete with 3D printers! Some might consider the recording studio the icing on the cake.

After about a year and a $2 million investment, Chinguacousy Library is back in action, complete with this recording studio. Whether or not you’re interested in recording something, it’s great to know that a feature like this exists at a Brampton Library.

The branch is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday 1-5 p.m.
