A Halton Hills man’s determination to win finally paid off with a jackpot worth more than $100,000.

Edward Devcic of Georgetown won $104,439 in the May 11 Lotto 6/49 draw.

A regular lottery player for almost 20 years, the sales professional said he enjoys playing Lott 6/49 and Lotto Max and likes to choose his own numbers.

“I received an email from OLG, and it looked different that the usual emails I get. I logged into my OLG.ca account and saw how much I had won,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings.

“I told my wife, and she was pleasantly surprised,” he smiled.

“I always hoped I would win eventually, I just didn’t know when it would happen. It’s a great prize amount and I am excited.”

Devcic plans to complete a few upgrades to his home and save for the future.

“I’ll take some time to figure out how to have some fun with my family to celebrate too.”

The winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
