UPDATE: As of early Friday afternoon, Pearson Airport officials report that wait times at Terminal 1 are back to normal as they continue efforts to resolve the network outage.
Travellers heading to Pearson Airport in Mississauga today are being warned that they may be delayed due to a network outage in Terminal 1.
Pearson Airport officials said via social media this morning that while passenger lineups have been improving, “wait times have ebbed and flowed throughout the morning” inside the terminal due to the outage.
They added that the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is working to resolve the issue.
Earlier today, CATSA officials said in a post to social media that “a network outage at the (Terminal 1) transborder checkpoint is causing longer than usual wait times. Your patience is appreciated while CATSA works to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
