Wind speeds are expected to reach up to 50 km/h in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Hamilton, while Durham could see gusts of up to 40 km/h.
Daytime highs will vary across the region, with Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Durham hovering just above freezing at 1 C, while Hamilton will hit -1 C.
Snow is anticipated to begin late afternoon and continue through the evening, with an accumulation of approximately 2 cm.
Sunset begins at 4:39 p.m.
By evening, the skies will become partly cloudy as temperatures slip to -6 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Durham while it will be -4 C in Hamilton.
However, the wind chill will make it feel much colder, dropping to -14 C in Mississauga, -11 C in Halton, and -10 C in both Durham and Hamilton.
If you’re heading outdoors, it might be a good idea to layer up to stay warm!
