Update: At 7:45 a.m. on Friday, Brampton Fire said the fire is under control and overhaul operations are underway. Queen Street West has reopened.

Crews responded to a house fire Friday in Brampton.
The residential house fire broke out Friday morning on Queen Street West, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services said in a post on X just after 7 a.m.
Queen Street West between McMurchy Avenue and Haggert Avenue was closed for fire operations.
Brampton Fire asked people to avoid the area.
