UPDATE: Crashes close lanes on highways at the Mississauga and Toronto border

Update: The crashes on the QEW are cleared, the OPP said in an update at 9:31 a.m. The crash on Highway 427 has also cleared.

Crashes are causing delays during the morning commute on highways at the Toronto and Mississauga border.

A crash was reported in the westbound lanes of the QEW at the West Mall around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Ontario 511 said.

Three right lanes and the right shoulder were closed.

The Mississauga OPP said police are investigating two separate events on the westbound QEW near Dixie Road.

Two vehicles struck debris on the highway, OPP said in a post at 8:17 a.m.

There was then a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries, OPP said. Clean-up is underway and the left lane was open, OPP said. 

Another crash reported at 7 a.m. closed the left shoulder and two left lanes on Highway 427 southbound at Dundas Street, Ontario 511 said.
