Crash kills 68-year-old as police search for witnesses north of Caledon

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward following a serious crash on the weekend that left one person dead near Caledon.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday on 10th Line between County Road 3 and the border of Erin and East Garafraxa, around 40 kilometres north of Caledon.

Police say it’s believed only one vehicle was involved in the crash, and a 68-year-old male from East Garafraxa was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Police closed 10th Line for several hours while members of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigation team were on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to contact the police.
