Shopping at Costco will cost residents across Canada and United States more.

The wholesale retailer announced Wednesday (July 10) it is raising the cost of its annual membership fees in Canada and the United States.

Canadians who have individual, business, or business add-on memberships will pay $5 more with their annual membership fee rising to $65. Executive memberships will be bumped up $10 to $130 and will also see their maximum annual rewards increased.

Costco customers in the U.S. will also receive the same price hikes.

Over 52 million memberships in total will be affected.
