A generator sold at Costco is being recalled due to an electrical hazard.

The A-IPower Inverter Generator 7100/5700 watt has been recalled, according to a notice from Health Canada.

The generator has a Costco Item Number 1758140, model number GXS7100IRDC, and UPC number 85001688144. They are red and black in colour.

The company reported that 124 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

The recalled generators are missing a connection between the generator frame and one conductor of the output circuit, according to the recall notice. This is a safety standard requirement and could pose an electrical hazard.

Fortunately, as of Nov. 17, there have been no reports of injuries in Canada.

Anyone who purchased this generator should immediately stop using it and return it to Costco or call 1-888-426-7826 to arrange a pick-up.
