Cops need witnesses to fatal Brampton car crash

A fatal car crash in Brampton has led to charges against a man involved, but police need witnesses to the crash as they try to prove those charges.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. July 3 two cars collided in Brampton’s Creditview Rd. and Wanless Dr. area. An occupant of one of the cars, a 29-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle. The man was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

In the other vehicle meanwhile was a family of three with a nine-month old baby. The mother suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a trauma centre. The father meanwhile accompanied his injured baby in an ambulance to hospital.

The family was later reportedly in stable condition and everyone is expected to make a full recovery.

The driver of the first vehicle, from which is passenger was ejected, was arrested and charged.

Supinder Singh, 29 of Alberta, has been charged with operation while impaired causing death as well as three counts of operation while impaired causing bodily harm.

Days after the crash on July 6, Peel Regional Police released an appeal for witnesses. Anyone who saw the crash or has security/dashcam footage of the area is encouraged to call Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453–2121, ext. 3710 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
