Ontario, Brampton, police, Sikh Hindu,

Peel Regional Police are looking for video that shows who sprayed a noxious substance during a protest in Brampton last night (Nov. 4).

Police say one person received minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene following skirmishes that broke out during clashes of opposing ethnic groups on The Gore Road that began at 4 p.m. and lasted until 4 a.m. today.

Investigators believe there was enough video footage taken at the scene that will lead them to make an arrest.

Police ask anyone with video footage of any lawless behaviour during the protests, to submit it to investigators using the following link: https://prp.ca.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/pr240354220.

As well, anyone with information can also contact investigators at 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 2133. Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.

Police have had to deal with large crowds and riots during the course of two days in what can be determined as tit-for-tat demonstrators between different factions of Hindus and Sikhs outside of Brampton and Malton temples.

Aside from fighting with police, videos have also shown that some taking part in the demonstrations have been carrying clubs and machetes.
