Comic convention coming to Milton Sports Centre this weekend

A comics convention is coming to Milton this weekend.

The Milton ComiCon will bring together vendors selling comic books, new and vintage toys, jewelry, DVDs, anime, prints and plenty of other things.

In addition, there will be artists and authors in attendance with the own art, books and comics. Attendees will be able to visit their booths and get some unique items and free autographs.

According to organizers, some vendors will be buying, so you can bring your unwanted comic books, toys, video games and anything else to grab some extra cash.

Visitors can bring non-perishable food items for local community food banks and get entered to win prizes.

The Milton ComiCon is Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Milton Sports Center, 605 Santa Maria Blvd.

General admission is $5, free for kids under 12. There is a VIP admission for $20 that also includes a swag bag with more than $40 worth of items, including a mystery Funko Pop and a collectors-grade comic book.
