Coldest weather this winter expected this week in Mississauga and Brampton
Published January 29, 2023 at 1:47 pm
We’ll get to see some sun this week, but the sunshine will come with the coldest temperatures of the season so far.
This past weekend a snowfall alert was issued, informing drivers and pedestrians to be cautious of potential ice and slippery highways, roads, walkways and parking lots.
Since then clean-up crews have been making their rounds throughout the city ensuring safe travels for residents.
This afternoon (Jan. 29) will end with the accumulation of 5 cm of snow and a high of plus one.
The worst appears to be over with a new week ahead.
Moving into Monday, it will be mostly cloudy with scattered flurries and winds up to 15 km/h.
Most of the days to follow will be partly sunny but cold. Temperatures are going to dip much lower than seasonal, to what could feel like minus 30. This pattern will dominate the remainder of the week and into next weekend.
Before heading out be sure that along with your jacket you don’t forget to grab a hat, scarves and gloves!
Be prepared, as more winter weather is expected to hit late Friday and into the start of the weekend.
