CLOSURE: Roadway shut for power pole repair in Caledon

Police are asking drivers to steer clear after a pole was knocked down in a crash in Caledon.

The OPP said shortly before 12 p.m. on Monday that officers had closed part of Olde Base Line Road following a collision in the Terra Cota community of Caledon.

Police say a pole was hit in the crash and crews are working to repair the damage.

Olde Base Line Road has been closed in both directions between Mississauga Road and Shaws Creek Road and police say drivers should avoid the area or find alternate routes to avoid delays.

Police haven’t said when the road is expected to reopen.
