Construction closes busy road down to one lane until mid-2025 in Brampton

Some homes are without water and lanes have been closed on part of a busy roadway due to watermain breaks in Brampton.

The break happened on Monday around 2:30 p.m. leading to a lane closure on Castlemore Road, Peel Public Works says in a release.

Crews are working to repair a watermain and have closed at least one eastbound lane of Castlemore road east of Crystalhill Drive and Bayridge Drive.

Some homes on Richgrove Drive are also without water due to a main break, Peel Public Works says.

Water service is expected to return later in the day.

No timeframe has been given for how long the lane closure is expected to be in place or for how long residents will be without water.

Drivers and residents should avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible while the repairs are underway.
