A Christmas pet show is coming soon to Mississauga.
The event, called the Toronto Christmas Pet Show, is a pet-friendly family event that welcomes pets of all shapes and sizes despite having fur or scales.
The holiday pet show, which will take place at the International Centre from Nov. 19-20, is set to feature grooming demonstrations, celebrity pet appearances, holiday shopping, festive entertainment and more.
Along with a holiday fun zone for canine pets that will feature a lure course, dock diving and an interactive photo booth experience, the show is also set to feature a small animal village for hamsters, Guinea pigs, bunnies, hedgehogs and other small pets.
Santa Claus will also be on-site at the event to take photos with guests and their pets and there will be a first-ever “kids corner,” with an interactive experience geared towards families and kids.
While feathered friends are typically welcome, the recent requirement announced by Ontario’s Chief Veterinarian is prohibiting birds from public gatherings to keep them safe from any possible exposure to avian influenza.
The event will take place on Saturday (Nov. 19) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday (Nov. 20) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Passes will be available at the gate and will cost $22 for adults and $15 for youth and seniors. Entry will be free for children under the age of six.
On-site parking will also be available for free.
