A charge has been laid after a six-year-old boy was struck and killed by a school bus in Vaughan earlier this year.

York Regional Police said that officers responded just before 8 a.m. on June 19 to the area of Kleinburg Summit Way and Pierre Berton Boulevard following the collision.

Responding officers located an injured six-year-old boy, who was then pronounced dead.

The driver of the school bus remained at the scene.

In an update, police said a 65-year-old Vaughan woman was charged on Tuesday with dangerous operation causing death.
