Changes considered for downtown Brampton

Changes to Brampton’s downtown could be coming soon.
The City of Brampton is hosting two open houses to gather feedback on plans for downtown.
The Downtown Revitalization division is conducting a comprehensive review and update of the Downtown Secondary Plan, a press release from the City of Brampton states.
The review will consider changes for a “renewed and vibrant downtown,” the release states.
People can have their say on the downtown vision, transportation options, critical infrastructure upgrades, landmark redevelopments and enhanced public spaces.
Projects include the redevelopment of Ken Whillans Square and Garden Square, and the Downtown Brampton Flood Protection plan.
The first open house is on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brampton City Hall Conservatory.
The second open house is virtual on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
For more information and to register, see the city’s website here.
