The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is cautioning drivers heading through Mississauga, Brampton, and Oakville on Highway 407 on Tuesday (July 16) of a road hazard.

In an advisory put out on social media, motorists are being notified that the rubber fill has lifted in both directions of the busy pay highway throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

“It is undetermined at this time when this will be repaired,” said the OPP.

Commuters on the highway are being asked to drive with caution.

Rubber crack filler is an emulsified asphalt containing rubber and selected fillers. It is designed for sealing cracks in asphalt pavements and is applied when cold.
