CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Alleged driver in Mississauga tow truck crash charged with dangerous driving

Police have charged a 27-year-old Mississauga man after a hit-and-run involving a tow truck was caught on camera.
On Tuesday, the OPP Highway Safety Division released dashcam video of a tow truck backing into an oncoming vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the QEW near Hurontario St. on Sunday.
Police said the incident happened just after 6:00 p.m., and footage of the incident shows a vehicle colliding with the rear end of the tow truck as it crossed the highway in reverse.
Officers said the tow truck took off after the crash.
Police now say they have charged a 27-year-old man from Mississauga with dangerous driving and failing to remain at a collision scene of the crash.
The man’s name has not been released by police.
