Cat injured in basement fire in Mississauga

A basement fire broke out at a home in Mississauga’s west end on Sunday.
Fire crews responded to the blaze on Tacc Drive, near Winston Churchill Boulevard, just after 5 p.m., a Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson told INsauga.com.
No one was injured, but firefighters treated a family cat on the scene, the spokesperson said. The cat went to a veterinarian for further treatment.
A fire inspector is investigating the cause of the fire.
Fire crews left the scene around 9 p.m. on Sunday.
