A vehicle smashed into a building in Mississauga last night (Sept 10) damaging the exterior up to four floors high.

Peel Regional Police say a vehicle lost control last night and hit an apartment building at 250 Webb Dr., near the City Centre area.

The vehicle had so much momentum that it made impact with the second floor and damage could be seen extending to the fourth floor of the apartment building.

The vehicle landed on its roof and members of Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services had to use the Jaws of Life to extract the driver from the vehicle.

Police say the driver suffered a medical episode which caused the collision. They were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The building inspector has been requested to assess the building due to the extensive damage involved.

Police do not deem this collision to be suspicious.
